FAQ - The List of URI Addresses

 How it works
 What you the author should do

As of September 12, 2005, authors of The Annals of Probability, The Annals of Applied Probability and The Annals of Statistics will be provided with list of URI addresses (URI List) in the galley proofs.

How it works:

The URI List is constructed in the following way:

  • the article .dvi file is scanned for URI links;
  • each HTTP link is checked and the result is included into the URI list;
  • other links (mailto, ftp etc.) are included;
  • MR links are skipped;

The line

200 http://www.imstat.org/aop/ [2:pp.1,1] OK

could be interpreted as

200                        - http request status code;
http://www.imstat.org/aop/ - URI address;
[2:pp.1,1]                 - [<number>:pp. <list of pages>]
OK                         - http request reason-phrase;

For technical reasons, page numbers could be duplicated.

What you the author should do:

  • check the http addresses where an error was received;
  • check the correctness of other URI addresses;
  • check if all URI links are included in the URI list;
  • all URI addresses listed in the URI list will appear as hyperlinks in the PDF version of your paper published on Euclid and arXiv.
